A gang of 70 Muppets, from years past and present, unite in the spirit of friendship to form this image of the main frog. I referenced hundreds of photographs to create this original line art drawing inspired by the traditional Muppet Show artwork of the 70’s and early 80’s. This composition illustrates the reason why the Muppets have been beloved for decades!

Thanks guys! I got a little crazy with it. Tried to make this look like the line art graphics on those little Muppet Show Fan Club newsletters I used to receive as a little kid.

@killerpeapods if you go to the front page of the challenge, the highest scoring designs are lined up under the image of all the Muppets. (psst...mine is the kermit/fozzie hand heart)

I can't tell you enough how much I love this image. Such a fantastic design and the likenesses are so classic in style. Frith would be proud. This has easily remained one of favorites since it was posted.

Interesting that the current winner has 21 comments and this design has 56 - well 57 now... I've been tracking this challenge since the beginning, and I can't understand how the Muppet color bars rose so far so fast. Any explanations?!

Thanks everybody. I've been a Muppet fan since seeing the first theatrical "Muppet Movie" in 1997. This design took me well over 30 hours to create. From what makes the most iconic Miss Piggy or Great Gonzo to exactly how to draw Pepe (nobody seems to get that right). This is a tribute to the fan piece that as a little kid I always wanted to own and hang on my wall to stare at before falling asleep. That's where this comes from. There are many very deserving compositions in this contest and I have my favorites too! Believe me. You can clearly view my comments in the designs I admire throughout the voting process. I don't quite know what's going on with the voting, but like Kermit - I believe that things will work out as they are supposed to in one way or another. The Kermit spirit is what motivates me every day. It's why I'm an artist, a Muppet fan and why I entered this contest. That spirit remains regardless of this outcome. Thank all you guys for your support and making this a legitimate quality contest. You rock!

I'm very thankful and blessed for all the support for my Mosaic design. This stripey fella's design is kind of cool too. I don't know how the voting and selection works. It's good to know that so many people have my back, but let's keep this in the Muppety spirit with the comments from here on. Thanks guys. No matter what I'll try to get this design to anyone who wants it! :-)

Take heart, folks. I haven't found anything on this site that says that the design with the highest score is the design that they will choose. It costs money to make shirts, and they're not going to leave the decision completely up to internet voting, particularly since it's so very easy to stuff or bomb the box.
This shirt has tons of commercial potential, with a design that looks great both far away and close up. I can see this becoming a collector's item. I'd say Threadless would be fools not to pick this one.

Thanks everybody! I spent a massive amount of time and effort as did many of the other fantastic designers. I guess we have to wait and see what design Threadless selects.

Did this design win or did the ugly rainbow stripes win? That one is featured on another site as the contest winner. It's suspicious because the Green Album cover blatantly rips off this design concept. I don't have faith in Disney or Threadless at this point. Good job Muppetational Mosaic, win or lose!

Me too! Is there any way you can get this printed elsewhere, or will Disney sue you for copyright infringement? :( Maybe they'll print your shirt as a movie tie-in closer to the release??
