Inspired by a BBC news report a few weeks ago, research zoologist George M. Durner and his team had tracked a female Polar Bear swimming continuously for 232 hours and 687 km and through waters that were 2-6 degrees C, in search of sea ice and land. "This dependency on sea ice potentially makes polar bears one of the most at-risk large mammals to climate change," M. Durner. The loss of Polar Bears will have a huge impact on the polar wildlife. I hope my simple design solution grabs your attention and help give awareness to the endangered Polar Bear and climate change.

of the polar bear designs, I like this best because it is so simple and clear...but man is it sad. also, i think this could be a worthy submission outside of this particular challenge as it does communicate so well and quickly such an important issue that is perhaps different from or more than what OPS is targeting...just my two cents.

communicates the idea brilliantly because uses symbols our modern society understand immediately (polar bear, melting = ice caps melting, climate change) it is elegant, sad but humorous... it deserves to win :)
