Although incomparable to the human loss suffered by those in Christchurch, the loss of a huge amount of architectural heritage within the city threatens to change a city that took great pride in its history. As both a New Zealander and a recent architectural graduate I am particularly aware of the loss that those living within the Canterbury region have suffered.
The Christchurch cathedral, which lost its spire during the earthquake, has come to symbolize the devastation in the city. This design is intended to represent the process of renewal and rebuilding that is to be undertaken within the Garden City.

We came across your design submission for Threadless’s Architecture For Humanity Design Challenge and we think your work is wonderful.

Did you know that since Threadless is a For-profit company, only 25% of the net proceeds were donated to Architecture For Humanity. In contrast, our organization, OHMY Shirts Inc., is a 501(C)(3) certified Non-profit which means 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of our winning T-Shirts are directed donated to the charity associated with the cause. While we don’t have attractive cash prizes to give away, we are genuine and committed to our goal of raising the maximum amount of funds and awareness for the causes we champion.

Because we just launched our site a few months back, we don’t have that much product yet but we are reaching out to talented designers like yourself to submit T-Shirt designs that can change the lives of millions.

We will evaluate the design, cause, and the benefiting charity to determine if it is aligned with our organization’s efforts.
