About this design
Duck With Temper.

Two of my favorites combined: animation and Donald Duck!
Donald always blows his cool. He also does it in a very specific fisted-fashion, which I demonstrate here. Donald is one of the most famous figures in cartoon history, and you gotta remember that he's at his best in ANIMATED FORM. I decided to combine CLASSIC Donald (specifically 1937-era) with a pioneer of moving pictures, Eadweard Muybridge (1830-1904). I believe Muybridge would've gotten a kick out of cartoons had he lived long enough... and analyzed cartoon animals just as intently as the real ones.
I'm staying simple with this design - choosing one ink color, halftoned, to give it that old-timey appearance. It looks most like Muybridge photographs on black or charcoal, but I am open to adding a little color to the design too. Just thought I'd keep things purely black & white, as Muybridge would have captured Donald, had that little duck been around in the late 19th century.

Nice animation sequence and classic look.

I really love this, would definitely buy and wear it! What cartoon did the animation sequence come from? (Looks like the late 30s but I'm too lazy to check them all right now :P)

Henrieke - THANKS! BTW, I'm a HUGE fan of your work... love your deviantART posts. Sorry, just more of a admiring watcher on there. :-) I took this from "Don Donald," but he's wearing Mexican attire in that cartoon, so I had to change it to his usual attire. It's my favorite Donald "starring" short, how he's drawn and how he moves.

And sorry, I meant 'asphalt' as the other shirt color in my third slide up there. I used to work somewhere that called that color garment 'charcoal.'

Ah, ofcourse! I'm happy you chose one of the earlier shorts, as his design in there is my favorite too. Great job on the art- doing that for all those frames must've been quite a bit of work!
Thanks so much! May I ask what your DA account is, or am I going too off topic here? Just drop me a note there ;)

This is a great concept. And you got Donald looking his best here! :)

Thanks, Rock! I was just going for as classic of a Donald as possible! :-)

Thanks people! I only wish I would've found out about this challenge sooner, so I would've had more time to score more votes! But still very proud of its final average! Hoping to see this make it onto a tee, but also really hoping to see several of the top ranked designs printed too! There's some hardcore Donald fans around here. :-)
