About this design
Teddy Rescue
Created by iartist2 on Mar 21, 2011
When I read the challenge I thought, what do these young girls have that can help them escape their awful situation? I immediately responded with, their mind and their will. So I designed something that represents that to me. I thought a giant teddy bear as the hero would be suiting. For many times the only thing these young girls have is the escape within their minds. So just imagine a teddy bear, which may be their only companion, with bolt cutters coming to the rescue. I hope you like it, and please please please whatever you do, donate to the cause.

I like the illustrations and the idea behind this. I think the cage should be illustrated in the same way (thick and thin lines) as everything else. I'm not sold on having the text with the image because I think the three different fonts don't mix or make sense with the imagery. Anyway, you still did a great job! :)

Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated. Yeah, I don't really have much experience designing. I just do personal work mostly. You're completely right though, I also feel I could have chosen more appropriate fonts. Well see what happens though. I'm looking for to submitting more and developing my design aesthetics.

I prefer no text at all, but otherwise love your design. I feel the design stands on it's own and for me the whole "real men dont buy girls" is besides the point most of the shirts that had this slogan put me off. But your design and message is so good it still gets my vote. I will hope that if you win the final product comes without the text

Maybe if I win, I can sway them to omit the text. Yeah, I would much rather prefer it didn't have text now. I shouldn't have jumped on the text bandwagon :(
