Africa's ancient culture is very rich and water is crucial to maintain all it's value alive in every new generation.
I represented water with a rich texture, using some of the most beautiful African symbols which have amazing meanings like friendship, abundance, strength and hope.

I'm not sure I understand how this was submitted after the deadline and has moved to the top, ahead of artists who submitted much earlier in the competition. Not to mention it looks like a downloaded pattern that was clipped to the shape of Africa.

(And just to be clear, it was submitted the last day but on time, it appeared one day later due to the process it took for each one of them to be accepted, and i can prove everything was hand-drawn :) and then digitalized)

What I love the most in this design is the meaning behind the symbols making the pattern. and how everything forms a bigger idea. Clever, simple to understand, brilliant!
