I read the first part of this poem and found it to be beautifully, strangely, sadly, absurd. So I decided to do a design that was a bit whimsical and a lot pretty.
Ideally I'd love to see the saucers in a golden ink, something with a hint of sheen or sparkle. The pieces are in a very limited palette, with a lot of white negative space so it would stand out on any color shirt and leave room for lettering in the hair, on the shirt, or on the tombstones. I used watercolor, inks, and pencil. If you look closely, you can see the eye highlights are mini saucers.
